IROC low 14s stock? I doubt that. High 14s, maybe on a really good day. They are not fast at all but have a lot of potential out of that little SBC. To get low 14s you'll need some good bolt ons and some gears to get them moving like that.
There nice cars, I always wanted one and came very very close to buying an 89 IROC myself. Course my plans for it was an LS1 Swap etc because there dog ass slow. The car had an aftermarket exhaust, a FAST TB, and chip and a few other things and it was still dog ass slow. Hell the owner thought we were going soooo fast when I punched it from 20-70 mph, LOL, I almost took a nap. I should of pulled over and took him for a ride in my GTP, showed him what something moved felt like, LOL. I don't ever talk big on my car but damn, that IROC had nothing on my GTP muchless a stock GTP.
Honestly though, there a fun cars and have a lot of potential. I don't understand though, your car is getting old and some miles, so your going to sell it for something even older (granted it may have lower miles) but you're probably going to be wrenching on that Camaro more than your current car. I mean hell there close to 20 years old, things get old and break, if your buying it for a realible driver, I think you need to look elsewhere. If anything, Opt for a LT1 Camaro or an early LS1 car. At least there newer and there somewhat affordable. If anything keep the GTP, and buy an IROC for a project so you can have two running cars. When one breaks, you have a backup. Makes no sense getting a 20 year old car for a DD that can potential have more problems than your current car.
