I don't know why you guys are discussing other countries... This is a world wide protest.

October 15th the world will be Protesting with Occupy Wall Street.

There are groups called Occupy Together and Occupy Globally.

I think people in this thread need to do more research:

    1. Saying the top 1 or 2% (Rich) people in this country "Earned" it is a joke. Do research on how many of those people actually built a business from the ground up or received their money from other means. The other FACT is that those people are actually paying LESS tax than people who are making much less than them. You ask what the reason for this is? The Republicans say they are paying less tax so stimulate those businesses/companies to create jobs. If that is true then where are the jobs? It's pretty much a no brainer that their tax break should be eliminated but for some reason the majority of republicans keep fighting it.

    2. About China. Take a look at this:

    http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c5700.html

We import WAY more than we export. The US imports more than it exports in general also, not just with China.

    3. The main reason this country is going down the tubes is corruption and the two party system. If you ask me we are heading for civil war in the next 5 years.

    4. I agree with the fact their should be stricter regulations on welfare and other government funded assistance. Drug testes should be mandatory.

    5. I think its good to see a group of people actually doing something about the state of this country. If it were up to politicians they would just argue and get paid and never actually solve anything.

this all goes back to the bilderbergs and their club, with plans for the world bank, this one does well that fails, back and fourth it goes till it all falls apart, then the world bank "WILL" take over, and we will all be f'ed so bad. just look at Europe and that frigging euro. money is now worth less over there, in Italy moneys value was cut by 2/3, who can live like that? thats what they want here and everywhere! Britain is the only strong front over their, they got the balls to stand up for themselves for now.

Britian is poor as all hell lol. Europe is a **** hole likes its always been and well Asia is to busy fighting among themselves to do anything useful. So yeah.... I would say compared to the rest of the world we have it pretty good! It will take multiple things to fix this mess.

the pound is doing better than the dollar these days.

People make their own beds. The poor CHOOSE to be poor. If you don't like the situation you are in, or don't feel you make enough money its YOUR job to make a difference, not the governments.

No but people born into poverty have the choice to work hard and get out of it... The government does ensure they get an education.

I was born into a poor family and I do damn well for myself. I have a cousin born into poverty who has went on to become a college professor at TWO universities. He could have been a lazy fVck and sat on his ass and stayed poor, but he did something with his life. He chose to make it better.

A highschool diploma is not an education. An education comes with a degree and a good paying job to match.

I may be making an assumption here, but you're both still middle class and getting ****ed by the system, am I wrong?

Ummm. You just stated WE are the ones getting ****ed by the system. I totally know it. My taxes go to stupid ass programs that fund the poor... It sucks... But at least i can still afford to do the things I love.

only a few will ever make it out of poverty, the schools system suck, and its a lot of monkey see monkey do, selling crack is so much easier than getting a real job.

take a ride through Washington heights in Manhattan some day, every stoop has 5 people sitting on them, every day, doing what? selling drugs what else?

The only "fVcking by the system" is the government taking money I earned and giving it to lazy fVcks who didn't earn it, much like those in this protest.
