Several reasons. One its not a 350. Two it was free. And three its an sbc....everythings cheap as hell. Full long tubes 100 bucks. Cam 54 bucks....gatta love it
i havent decided yet...but seeing as most are about 50 bones its gonna take a while to decide. i like the thumper cam alot. but we shall see
Why don't you want to run a 350? Just trying to be diff?
yeah but a 350 would make more power with the same mods and you can get one for like $100 or less
free>$100
but still 350's are over done everyone does them and yes there everywhere but why not say away from the bandwagon that is the 350 and be different by makeing something your own
I like being diff and saving money thats why i built my 5.0 in my el camino instead of swapping the motor. Another plus is if the 283 ever blows all the parts can be swapped to another sbc.
Exactly...everyone and there mother builds a 350...283's are becoming uncommon very quickly..
I wonder why everyone builds a 350.
And the good stuff isn't cheap.
my current build sheet is for around 400hp...and im at 750 bucks so far...id never pay for someone to build me a sbc...there pretty much like legos
badass
got into a little tonight. nothing special. no bent rods or super worn parts. everything looks pretty clean so far.
hard to see but it has the chev inlay
2 bbl lol. Are you switching it to hei?
yea 2 barrell. Was a truck motor haha. Haven't decided on a carb yet. 4 barrell for sure but that's all I'm for sure on
