problew not good to do with out an intercooler...
|
yeah, if they ever broke loose in a non intercooled setup then your pistons would be gone. at least with an intercooler you have a barrier between so they can drop out if they want. hopefully it wouldnt knick up the core and cause a leak though.
well i figured since its not expelling hot air it might get to hot with out an intercooler but yea that works too.
When companies build custom car prototypes, they crush the cars so they can't be sold and then blamed for deaths or injuries caused by a big company building these unsafe or unusual cars. I watch a lot of powerblock/trucks and spiketv shows and they had an episode about all the cars they built and crushed. It's basically to cover their asses in the corporate world.
that makes me angry!
ya i dont like that sound. to me blowers/superchargers make the car sound like theres something wrong with the car. i look at our cars as the newer version of the grand national or gnx. (blk, 3.8, some turbo, menacing lookin) thats just me though
wow i never thought of it like that, thats a good point. wow, it feels weird having the 1 of a kind thing meaning my front end. (unless someone else has it also and isnt a member of any gp groups)
to you, you hear something wrong with the car. to me, i hear power![]()
makes good low and mid range power, lots of torque too. good enough for me. im not much of a high end power person tho :/ when i step on the gas i want it right then
i love my whine and the intake makes it sound better haha and yeah some1 replica this so lo ride its soo badass come on dooo it dooo it dooo it haha
It was me that was 2 weeks off on the So-Lo GP. It was one of my favorite cars since I saw it first in 2000. I would have literally sold my house at the time to pick it up. My original GP was supposed to also replicate the chop top, but the company fell through and most of the ideas didn't happen or went on another car.
No need to get excited about roll down rear windows... They never were, ever. They used all the stock glass on it except the quarter windows. The weren't roll down, they were fall down. The reason you see pics of it with out them is because they were dropped and broken before shows back at the shop. It made the car with the lower roof line, no B-pillars, or door window frames.
I had hundreds of pics, articles, specs, contact info, etc. on it. Unfortunately when my ex and I broke up she destroyed them and erased ALL pics and info on my computer at the time.
The So-Lo was also the first de-rib ever on a GP and my inspiration for wanting to do it. Hopefully someday my current GTP will get to where I want it. Only a couple other one-off GPs that I'd want. One I can't get myself to make the call, the other starts at $75,000-100,000+. A couple others out there, but not likely to happen soon.
Most only have a life of a few years. Many are crushed for liability reasons or are pre-production and not able to be titled. Tons of historical carguy loss over the years.
As far as SC whine, how do you not love it??? I love the whine and the whoosh so why choose?
man that guy that crushed that car with the lever should have been electricuted and then blown up for killin that sexy mama!
By the way, since we're on the subject of all of this. What ever happened to the 300GPX? Does Pontiac still have it sitting somewhere or is it crushed by now as well?
