so my friends girls car had a misfire and failed inspection, because the engine light was on, so i tell her ill do a tune up on it, its a 2000 Chrysler Sebring, who ever designed this car should be shot! so im looking for the plugs i see the fronts and the back 3 are under the intake plenum. im like wtf?
so dug into it today, had to unhook the plenum then remove it. then the cap and rotor are the drives side of the engine block and the plug wires take this tight winding path through the engine, what a pain it the ass! damn egr tub was in the way the whole time, fun for a guy with big hands. then i had to get to the thermostat, she was over heating, and she just had a new one put in with a new water jacket a month ago, so get it out and its drilled, why would the last guy drill it? 4 holes too. so slap it back together and runs like a top now, waited for the t state to pop filled it up, she took it for a ride and was out of her mind with excitement, because it ran so well now. and i haven't got the call yet that i over heated so i hope that holds up.
made a nice 100 bucks on the job, so that makes up for the nicks and scrapes in my hands.![]()
