    Hello Kitteh

Lol, just kidding. Took the time today to clean up and paint my Gen V and the intake that goes along with it before it gets installed. The paint I bought was'nt exactly what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be more of a 'aluminum' color rather than nearly chrome, but oh well. It'll work I suppose and does'nt look that bad.

    Anyways, heres some pics.

Thanks. Installation is more than likely going to take place tomorrow. Just waiting on my adapter plate, gaskets, and the Intense Gen V IC core to come in. All should arrive sometime tomorrow.

Suppose I could take the time to photograph the install and write something up as well.

Probably a few at least. Although if we have the time and I decide to make the write up then there should be a ton of pics. lol

One thing I found with that chrome spray paint is if you clearcoat it, it will turn into a dull silver. I found that out with my GTX badges when I tried to make them look all chrome and then let them dry a couple of days and then sprayed the clear on them and they turned to this dull hideous silver lookin color.

Lol, I was debating on whether or to send the blower casing off to whitcomb and have him airbrush the 'Hello Kitteh' theme on it. Every ricer knows having Hello Kitteh somewhere on your car adds a gazillion horses.

Edit- Went out to the garage and took the wrapping paper off since I figured the paint was dry by now. So here is some more pics of the finished product.

Lol, well I did'nt really want 'chrome' paint but I don't really want a dull hideous silver color either. I think I'll just stick with what I got, it's expensive paint and tough as hell so it's all good.

Oh, and the bike is a mini-chopper.

Share with us which paint that was. I would like the silver look. I figure Im going to need a tough paint that can withstand some temps if I cannot clear it, as Geddy said, it turns some pale, dull thing.

    Meow~!

I would of left the wrapping paper on the blower and kept it as a engine cover.

    Looks good!

I picked it up from Auto Zone, it's the high temp DupliColor ceramic paint. It's nearly $6 a can but it's worth it in my opinion. Same paint thats on my current Gen 3 and it still looks like it did when I painted it. I just picked up the wrong silver this time. lol

Why not? It's getting pulled off and thrown in the trash anyways.
