Its a big day for me and my GP. My 99 GTP hit 200,000 miles today. Just getting broken in...

I am the original owner and have been through a lot with this car. It is bone stock and will stay that way. Silver mist metallic, 2dr, blk leather interior, bose, heated seat, HUD; lived with the car in Michigan, Ohio, and now Minnesota. Interior is still immaculate. The body is still in decent shape overall but is rusting through just below the fuel tank door, on the front of the hood, under the rear lip of the trunk lid, and spots on the undercarriage. I thought you might want to see a list of things i have had to replace over the years. I have done all of the work myself (not in any particular order and leaving out some of the routine things):
    - valve cover gasket replaced due to leaking (i did it before i got the rcall notice)
    - half axle (each front wheel)
    - plugs and wires
    - front sway bar (rusted through last month)
    - several fog light bulbs
    - HVAC flapper door mechanism accessed near glove box (only blew hot air when AC on)
    - plenty of belts
    - MAF sensor (last month)
    - re-soldered wires for the ABS on driver side (low trac light kept coming on)
    - new drain plug (leaking from stripped threads on old one)
    - driver window motor
    - cruise control mechanism (under hood)
    - a few batteries
    - alternator
    - a couple idler pulleys (each disintegrated)
    - a couple of vacuum leaks fixed
    - radiator hoses

Still has original tranny fluid, shocks, rotors, headlights (but getting cloudy), and many other things. I hope i am not jinxing myself by saying that.

I love the car and am still getting around 27mpg on average, but I baby the car now; no more racing at stop lights, well maybe a couple times a year when my wife is not in the car.

Feel free to ask any questions about it for those that are hoping to make theirs last...

By the way, I have used the tremendous help on this site for many troubleshooting issues. Many thanks to you guys and the originators of this site.

    Congrats

I have a lot of trouble believing you have 200K miles on a set of rotors.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Ya rotors wear out. That's almost like saying you've got 200k on your original tires.

I'm about to hit 173k here. 6k more miles and i've drove i'll have put 100k on it myself.

Many miles of highway driving. However the rotors are paper thin now and will be replaced very soon.

Nooo don't ebay them. Check pricing. I found it was cheaper to go direct to them and get the pads of my choice with free shipping.

    You don't stop much...lol

quaker state has a campaign now, where if you use nothing but their oil in for the lifetime of your car and have 300,000 miles on it they will pay you $3,000, no questions asked.

That would be keeping a lot of receipts.(60) 275k on mine and on my 2nd set of rotors on the front and originals still on the rear.

The original tranny fluid would worry me a bit............

very impressive for original owner. And yes i would change the tranny fluid and rotors. I just passed 100k and im changing mine soon. I bet it couldnt hurt for shocks and struts either.
