this is just a wild guess on the battery terminal, maybe when you were driving real fast some how the positive terminal got in contact with some metal part under the hood? how old is the battery? maybe it's low on distilled water and burn out the cell inside the battery? that's my guess i don't i know, but i know you owe your buddy a steak dinner and six pack
