So the last few weeks have been chalked full of problems/roadblocks. Just got the car back from the shop after a 183.00 repair bill for a Fuel resistor. Makes me a little sad the labor was more than the actual part (Part 58.00 Labor 110.00). Anyhow its back and runs better than the day I got it.

So after a few days of pondering I deceided to try installing the new seats I picked up from a local GTP owner. Got the two buckets for 28 bucks. So I pull the passenger side out and go to install the new one, won't clip into place. I reach back to grab the release on the back and it's not there. I have a coupe and the new seats came from a sedan. Figured they would be the same, never in a million did I think about them not leaning forward enough to clip in the front mounts. Checked the driver side and same deal.

So my question is has anyone run into this and does anyone have any suggestions? I've thought of trying to pull the seats apart and use my frames but use the leather and support from the new ones. Never done any uphol work before and don't want to trash the new seats.

Not sure if the do, but see if the tracks from the two sets of seat unbolt and see if they can be swapped. Let me know what your findings are and we can go from there.

sedan seats are way different, but should bolt to your tracks, just remember you lose the forward flip feature (don't need that with 4 doors)

They'll fit. It's the same seat minus the 'fold down' feature to allow people into the back of the car, but there is no reason they won't fit and bolt in just like the coupe seats.

the tracks are different especially the passenger one (doesn't have the slide feature for easy entry)

Yeah but they will still fit. Didn't say it was going to slide up for easy entry.

You could probably check with a couple scrap yards and see if they would swap seats with you. Might get lucky.
