Fox Valley Tech has a fast program that's a year....my buddy went through it and now works as a tech at Truck Country...you could do that but they also have a 2 year program which would get you better rep than the 1 year program
Well basicly I got a job offer just need to learn how to rebuild a CAT motor or c15..... My dad takes his dump truck to these guys and they have 1 mechanic for 28 trucks and has to send there motors out to be rebuilt. So thats where the offers comes in to save them a bunch of money. So Ill look into that for sure... and idea on how much it cost?
i Work at the Wyotech In Blarsville PA. In 2010 we had 100% grad placement out of the Diesel Technology program.
We cover Cat, Cummins, and the Detroit Diesel, Volvo, International, Mack and John Deere.
We give you the EPA 608 and 609 Certifications, and cover the Eaton Fuller 9,10, and 13 Trans how to tear down and rebuild, eaton and Rockwell rear diffs, airbrakes, PMI's Alingments, Fluid Power, electronics.....yup pretty much everything you need to know front to back and side to side of the truck
