I drove a G8 GT about 2 months ago myself. I know a guy at a local dealer, he pretty much lets me drive what I want while i'm waiting on my company truck to be serviced. I'm with Street Wolf, it didn't feel that fast to me and I know I took it up to at least 120 mph too, spun the tires a couple times too. An LS2 GTO felt a little faster IMO and i'd get that before I would a G8. I'm not quite ready for a 4 door car yet. And i'm not crazy about the body style yet, the G8 had too low of a roof line for me and my head.

I can't see a V6 G8 being terribly fast, maybe low 15s or so. I believe the G8 GT is rated at mid 13s, its a heavy car too so keep that in mind. Of course gearing, stall, or being a manual makes a big difference in how a car feels. Kinda how guys who have GTs don't think GTPs feel that much powerful, line em up and its a different story.

My judgement on fast cars though is different than most. I used to hang around guys with 10, 11, 12 muscle sec cars when I was younger, so I guess theres not much out there that knocks my socks off, especailly stock cars. I've driven many cars too, and I mean drive them, not granny them.

Unfortunetly, I don't think the G8 will last long. People don't want V8 engines that use more gas or SUVs, everyone wants to be a ***** and get a 4 cylinder Honda for gas mileage and its ruining the country in my opinion.

Funny you should mention that. I'm used to my L36. Every time I drive a L67 it feels like a pig down low in normal driving (not hitting boost). Sure, it's got more top end pull once you hear the whine, but that's it. Every day driving the L36 feels like it has more low end pep. Probably due to a number of things like compression ratio, spark advance, and gearing (my LS has 3.05 gearing while the L67s I've driven have the stock 2.93).
