It's weird the personalities they can have. He would swim up against your finger when feeding time came around and would follow fingers around the tank. He was in a group of 3 others and he was the only one that lasted. Maybe in a few weeks I'll get the tank set up again and start over. I'm for sure disinfecting the crap out of everything in that tank tho. I would just start over, but gravel and all the plants are so expensive!

I've read bleach, but make sure you rinse it really really well. But the most popular seems to be a boil water and let the stuff soak overnight and then dry out, sounds safest to me. The tank itself is 6 years old, but has been started up/cleaned/new fish in it several times. Teddy and this 3 years is probably the longest it hasn't been totally torn down and disinfected (I still did the frequent water changes).
