It was the husband to be, a fellow coworker at the hardware. I don't totally support the marriage so why go to it?
Redneck probably figured you would give a great gift
Anyone got a temporary fix for an alternator regulator that only wants to work right half the time?
Replace the alternator. It will temporarily work until it goes out in few more years.
I watched a guy hit this alt with a screwdriver handle 10-20 times. It started working again LoL
I've tried a hammer to no avail. While driving it'll start At the normal output of 14.7-15 then drops down to 13.2
.I had it tested and the regulator is going bad
a battery charger over night would be your friend till you change the alt.
He said he's currently diving home. ? Like 300miles home
i solar trickle charger tapped to the hood might work then lol
that driving home part must be a page back. this is why i carry tools in my trunk, you can change a alt in a parts store parking lot in 20 minutes or less.
The drivi g home part was yesterday comment.
Hes got tools. Why no buy reman alt? Change in parking lot.
O I have tools, enough to do any road side job . No one carrys my alt in stock...special order 3-5 days before it gets in. I mean its putting out power but way lower than usual.
find a local re-builder, search for starter and alt re builders. if they dont have one in stock, they can re build yours in hours most of the time, and they charge less then the parts store. and warranty it as well.
just go to a local 'yard.
thatd be your best bet till you get home imo
Just thought I'd say...got an e-mail from the bank and it is all set in stone I have a date and time to report and a dress code!! AND they pay for my drive to the training place which is an hour. But so what. YAY! I'm so happy!
Congrats Brando! That's great to hear!
I'm working on a promotion at my work. The past 2 weeks i've been in the bursar's office(bookstore) working because our bursar got fired. Haven't officially applied for the position, been going back and forth about it. The job's not posted publicly yet, just internally. I'll fancy up my resume and send it corporate HR director(who happens to be my best friends mom :p) on Monday. Oh and I'd get quite the raise too.
