I made it to my grandfather's bedside in time and completely missed my grandmother because I was out of state. For the first year, every couple of months I'd get a twinge of regret for having been unable to see her before the end. Three years later, the sentiment isn't important at all anymore. Life goes on. You're the one that's going to keep doing the living, so you do what's going to help you move on best.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.

my thing is... i know one way or another, regardless of money, somehow i'll make it down. thing is... you can't just tell a job oh yeah hey im not ready yet give me another week. so if the worst happens i mean thats like a weeks stay down there. and i dont wanna be selfish and miss something. its so confusing ive never dealt with this first hand. i mean ive been to tons of funerals but.. never where i had to be at bedside and you know destroy my life

Brando - here's the thing. Memaw knows you love her, and knows what's going on in your life. She knows who you are, and I'm sure was more than happy to see you there last time you were there. Funerals are for the living - not the dead. Living your life is not being selfish. It would be different if you hadn't had a relationship with her recently, or things were strained...that's not the case here. Do what you think is right, but don't look back on decisions with regret. Do what's right for YOU.

Holy ****ed up weather. Had nearly 3 inches of ice yesterday and today its expected another 10 inches of snow on top of this. Theres fallen trees and branches everywhere from the weight of the ice. It even weighed down a couple street signs so they bent like a ****in piece of wire

    Brandon...

Experience talking here, the jobs would contact you via your cell. You will have your cell with you. These jobs are with people, not robots. When they call and you are caring for family, tell them that. Say "thank you very much, I would enjoy starting right away. Howerver I am in Redneck South as my very close grandmother passed and I will be back in one (or two) week and can start at that time."

Believe me, people pass on in this world and many have also experienced it. They have compassion, it is understandable that you are handling things as you should and wish to have a job as well. At one point in my career, I made the bosses aware of things happening in my family. One day I left work and didn't return for nearly a month. I did keep them in the loop as to when I believed I would be back etc. These people said to me, "don't worry about work, it will be here when you have taken care of things.". Heck, I was also mid semester and had made a mention to the professors, they also gave me a lot of leniency in assignments etc.

When they call, be upfront and they should have no problems with a week or two. Afterall, many people give notice to a current employer before starting with the next. Two weeks shouldn't be a make or break on a job. If it is...you don't want that job. See your SuperCuts experience in the past. Not the kind of boss anyone would want.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

thanks Bill, that's quite the answer I was lookin for However I got to thinking and if they do want to pull off the vent, I'm not sure that's something I want/need to be there for. I've said what I've had to say and I just don't think I could handle it. That being said, I talked to my other gma I was like look if I've gotta go, I've gotta go but here's the deal I DON'T have another 10-12 hour drive left in me. I've done it 4 times in a months time I just can't do it. So I think a plane ticket is in the future thank God. Meanwhile we just wait for the decision and the outcome...

Brando. I consider you a good friend and after going through 4 funerals within a month and a half I'd be more than willing to talk if you need it. I didn't have anyone to talk to until a week ago and that was my psych teacher... it helped a lot but it didn't help the fact that I am now failing all of my classes because I let the stress build up to the point where i couldnt even wake up for class.... and I noticed you're like me where you build it up til it explodes and then you vent. Wish you the best of luck either way with gma and hope you don't cut yourself off from the outside world like I did...... stupid post but I wanna help.
