whats the best way to get rid of a woodpecker?
Other than the LIM gaskets and oil and filter for a change what else do I need for the LIM gasket change? I am also ordering elbows too
Since you got it apart I would suggest
LIM gaskets
Oil/Filter
Elbows
Valve cover gasket and new grommets
Fuel Injector O-rings all around
Throttlebody gasket
Inspect the plenum, make sure its not cracking around the coolant ports on the TB
Clean nasty dirty inside of TB
Why would I need new valve cover gaskets if they are not leaking? After ordering the LIM Gaskets, elbows and a windshield washer pump for the Venture I only have about $40 to spend on oil, filter and other misc. parts before winter comes. I am only doing what is necessary right now.
Plug coolant ports...
explain.....
I think the machine that makes Reese's Peanut Butter Cups needs a tune-up. Just opened one, and it had 2 of the little paper cup wrappers, and the one side was all peanut butter...like it's off center or something. VERY disappointing. I might write a letter...

Then a new manifold should be in your future.
if I were to do this, blueguy said to get a L32 UIM since it is nto plastic. that sound about right?
Not at all..
L32 UIM is a Gen V M90 Supercharger. I mean..it might feel right, but you want an L26 or just plug the holes. If you plug the holes, it'll cost you like $3 plug borrowing a tap and drill from a buddy. New manifold last time I checked was $85, and an L26 aluminum upper is usually $40 plus the adapter $100.
$3 for plugs or
$85 for a new plastic pos or
$140 for L26 aluminum
I'm a cheap ahole with a drawer full of plugs.![]()
thats it, i was wrong on my numbers
you make a valid point Mr. Boost
the gaskets and elbows have been ordered and maybe i will plug the holes, but do I need to "hog" out whatever you say to hog out or can I get by with just plugging the holes?
