Just make sure to highlight your tasks and duties that you currently do, that might be pertinent to the job you are applying for.
Thanks for that bit of info...the 1 page limit was what I was worried about the most, so it's good to know that. It's kind of at a funny length that if I put all I want in there, what goes onto the 2nd page is rather small. If I would fill up about half of the 2nd page... I wouldn't think twice about it. But yeah, it looks funny. This is rather difficult lol
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
I could probably fill a page just using all the duties I do at my current job. I would still need to add duties from previous jobs.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
I just had to write up my own job description. I do so many different things ,none of the official corporate titles describe me .

That's how I am...my job title is only about 60% of what I really do.

My Job Title according to the company is "Production Scheduler", but everyone considers me a manager and a supervisor. I have Production Supervisor in my email signature, but I also do Logistics and so much more.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
still waitin to hear from my neighbor about the handy man to patch this wall. my uncle left me the plaster crap and netting to finish patching the wall but that's just not the route i wanna go. im very ocd, and he is aware of it, but at the same time i don't wanna hurt his feelings cus he worked his ass off getting the 220 and drain in. so im trying to be subtle about it.
and dammit Lilien's car. she's had this car for a while now but I wasn't too keen on it anyway. It's a little ole Corrola ain't got enough power to hardly do anything. Anyway, the power steering loses fluid quite frequently, it burns a quart of oil every time you turn around. I did a tune up for her and the damn wires looked original, they had just mated to the spark plug and ripped apart. She still hasn't changed the oil since she's had it and I keep telling her to get it done. Granted the damn thing is practically changing the oil itself lol
But I guess we'll get it taken care of tomorrow I told her to bring it over :p
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
post a pic of this damage... dry wall is so easy to fix, and you have the supply's. you need a 6 inch Spackle blade and maybe some new sheet rock scraps and some screws. a utility knife and sand paper.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
It's not drywall it's like the old school thick concrete stuff. And behind it was a thin layer of wood. And one of the holes is a foot wide or so. He's started net behind it and put some plaster junk (whatever this sheetrock all purpose joint compound shiit is) and it just looks SHOTTY.
And I appreciate the advice, and I'm usually a jack of all trades kinda guy I don't mind figuring it out, but this just ain't one of them things. I want it done up nicely.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
thats easy to fix, cut sheet rock to the size of the hole, well first square up the hole, leave the wood lath, get 1/2 inch sheet rock, screw it to the wood around all 4 sides, 3 screws per side will do. then mud it up with a thin layer, put the tape/mesh in smooth it out, let it dry, sand it lightly till all the burs or lines are gone, coat it again, but go a few inches wider in both directions wider, let it dry, sand it smooth, now coat it one more time and go a bit wider again. dry sand it, done. prime, paint.
if you can ice a cake, you can Spackle.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
welllllll since you got it figured out, how bout you come do all that wam bam slap primer paint done dealio?
jkjk. but yeah. i hear ya. it's just not for me. i don't have the time to fool with it. when it comes to jobs like that where neatness is a key factor, ohh i don't do well. i can ice the hell out of a cake but i can almost guarantee ya i'd fvck that wall UP

Danielle: Nothing against two pages. Kill your del taco experience from the resume, it won't help get a job. Then put brief info about your current duties. Things you want future employers to ask you to elaborate about. Resume is a get my foot in the door and make them want more info about how great I am. Once in the door, you explain why they must have you.
Brandon.. Same thing I told you yesterday. You aren't a jack of all trades when you whine about a coolant elbow.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
yeah just sucks because there is no way to do anything, it all shuts down and i cant even start my day here. gotta fix some other a-holes mess. but since i started working here they have saved alot on tech support.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0

a small job like this will cost you 15 minutes per night. for 3 nights. only because it needs to dry before you can sand it or paint it.
Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
What kinda phone you using?
