The state finally released the standings for the correctional officer tests that I took. I was upset months ago when I received my score of 89. Now I find out I'm tied for 822nd place lol.

Its not as bad as it sounds though. Essentially I'm in the 4th group. The first two being vets and equal opportunity groups.

So the way I'm looking at it is that I'm placed in the second group that I was eligible for, being the pasty white guy that I am.

Im just hoping the process begins to move along faster than it has been. I'm real anxious to get into this career, start learning and earning.

    The longer I stand here
    The louder the silence
I know that you're gone but sometimes I swear that I hear
Your voice when the wind blows
So I talk to the shadows
Hoping you might be listening cuz I want you to know...

the story behind the NJ mvc is it used to be called the DMV, and it was a all day affair to get any thing done there. they re vamped the system "and it worked" they copied NY'S dmv system, you were in and out fast. now they rebuilt every damn building that houses a MVC, and the system sucks again, lines with 50 to 60 people out the door waiting to get in, they fvcked it all up again. its a joke. and you cant trust mailing it in to them anymore either. i know of 2 people that never got there new reg, but they cashed the f ing check dont you know lol then they want you to pay for a duplicate reg card...are you kidding me?

Been doing this all morning. Been here for over an hour now. Which isn't that bad but for me being stuck in a small hallway surrounded by people is torturous.

The largest Rmv in the area caught fire last night. So this one today is overcrowded.

Breakfast: 4 eggs, 1 onion, 1 green pepper, 2 tomatoes, 3 fistfulls of spinach, 2 small steaks smothered in blue cheese (this if awesome), and a pot of coffee, watching Captain America.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

PA does it by vehicle classification. Cars and small/midsize SUVs are $36 a year, 1/2 ton trucks are like $71, 3/4 ton are like $75 and it goes up from there.

And PA makes it easy to renew registration online. You can even go to any notary and get a renewal within a few minutes. The only reason to go to the DMV is for drivers license renewal/testing.

Can't pump your own gas, and you think automating something is going to cost less? IIRC the gas pump thing was to create jobs, likely they don't want to give them up at DMV either.

jeez. captain healthy food breakfast person.

IF I had the time/money to eat every day like that or have big breakfast every day, it'd be more like 1-2 eggs scrambled, country ham, hasbrowns (crispy), biscuits, gravy, and 1-2 cups of coffee. And it wouldn't hurt to munch on a pancake but clearly I'm not going to finish all this buuuut gawd it's good

Went to class today, had a mini-lecture over anti-depressants and their side effects and treatments etc. Then watched the film "The Lobotomist." I knew who Dr. Freeman was but DAMN I did not know the background on this fellow. Good intents, bad treatments. Woh. I'm so glad I was born in the day and age where ethics are numero uno.
