Ha, that's no joke. At least ossian is bigger than the town I live in. Ossian has 2 gas stations and a few restaurants and 2 stop lights. Craigville just has a post office and the meat locker. No stop lights. You'd really miss craigville if you blinked.
But I wouldn't trade my small town life for anything :)

It's quite convenient.
We only live 2 miles from bluffton, so there is a Walmart, auto places and such close. If one lived in ossian, you could survive without leaving, but the grocery store is expensive.
I guess we should be lucky we don't live in Nebraska or other western states. Have friends out there, 1hr drive just for groceries.
i had one of these in my fish tank, its a south american red tail cat fish. mine got to be about 18 inches long and ate every other fishing in my tank. it was eating 3 to 5 large feeder gold fish a day, and slowly eating me out of house and home, so i sold it to a restaurant that had a huge ass tank for about 300 i think, i picked it up for 60, it was only 3 inches long when i got it.
silly part is i could pet this fish lol reach in and it would let you stroke its side lol it also ate hot dogs, steak chicken, really anything you put in the tank would be eaten.

Ok..I wasn't gonna mention it cause the sicko's here would have commented. I also pet my fish. Being a moor..he looked like a black softball with fins. He outgrew the 30 gallon and I got him into a 55. Friends joked about fishing for him.
i need to get some pics scanned. i had 4 tanks set up at one time, a 10, 30, 34, 55, 125.
the 125 had 2 of the biggest angel fish i have ever seen anywhere. when i bought them they were the size of a quarter, when i got rid of them all, they were in the 125 their bodys were 5 inches round, the fins hit the top of the water the lower fins dragged the bottom, so thats 2 angel fish that were a easy 18 inches tall.
i also had two of them iridescent cat fish as well got them when they were 2 inches long, nice pink looking albino cats, well they lasted over 10 years and got to be well over 16 inches too. sold them as well.
all 4 of these fish we over 10 years old.
My goldfish let's me pet him too. He's been solo in the 20 gal for 3 yrs, doesn't seem to mind it. He hasn't grown like I thought he would.

this was my 125 tank, i only see the one shark, but there are 2 of them and the 2 angels in this tank. i have thousands of pics to go through, this was the first 1/2 good looking one.
iirc the tank was 6 ft long, and 18 wide and 18 tall.

man i wish i had pics, my buddy bought a 300 gallon for some pirahnna he had in his pond for the winter so they wouldnt die. damn things were the size of dinner plates.
