I'd say the current way the economy is going and the lack of money in the government is the biggest reason we are not pushing into space further. Right now we need to deal with our own problems before exploring beyond our own planet.

Sure, cause it was better to help out the failing banks so they can foreclose more homes and businesses.

^^^^^ This is why it will be moved into the private sector not affiliated with NASA or the United States Air Force.

Dayton OH, birthplace of aviation, location of the "National" U.S.F.A. Museum, and the worlds most Important air force base. Did not get picked for one of the shuttles.
I don't know why But I am raging about this its so dum..... Im glad nasa is getting cuts left and right they don't deserve anything from the national government if thats how they are gonna repay them

Last I checked, Nasa is going ahead with their Constellation project even though its "cancelled".

Only way you`re going to solve global overpopulation is colonization of the Moon and then Mars. Time to get started.

well i know where the Enterprise shuttle will be landing, its NYC on the USS intrepid Museum. Enterprise to Land at Intrepid!

i must say I'm glad that its coming to NY because i can easily get to see it first hand. i haven't been on the intrepid in like 10 years or so, the tour of it is insane, they have so many other airplanes on board already, its a welcome addition for sure.

I think Kennedy or the Space Center Houston tourist stop next door to Johnson Space Center should get one to share and that leaves one left since the Smithsonian is already getting one well a new one, I think the last one then should go to the Museum of Flight in Seattle and then that would equally spread out the shuttles around the country for more people to see them.

But where do you guys think they should go if you care?
ohio is not the birthplace of aviation, NC is, ohio is just the birthplace of the people who gave birth to it, so ohio is the grandparents of aviation

it was too flown in ohio Just after it flew sevral times in NC, you guys can have first in flight on your plates and we will keep birthplace of aviation since we have been more involved in flight then any other place in the world just to name a few f-17, b-2 spirit,...etc all designed in Dayton... which is absolutly the only thing going for this place now that theres no Gm plants and the fact that daytons a hole of a city lol

YOU'RE upset? We got stiffed! We controlled every shuttle that ever launched. "Houston, we have a problem..sshhh..Houston?..sshhh..Houston?!"

"sssshhhhh, This is Houston, you will need to get with LA or New York on that, over"

Does it not make sense to put them where the most people will be able to see them?

The ROM is in Toronto because its a high traffic city.

they're not going to put it in winepeg because of some historical significance.

you have to remember they are charging 28 million a pop so they're going to want to be able to make that money back by charging people to see them.

It does, but you put it where people will appreciate it in the atmosphere it belongs. Johnson Space Center is a tourist attraction and the main headquarters for NASA. People in LA will be like, "Look at that weird plane"
