ok, Please dont hate on me for asking such questions, I am very new at this.. Ok, I have a 2005 Grand Prix supercharged with every option that was offered.. I have the nav sytem with onstar, suroof ect. ect. ect. ok, to the point.. I want t bad ass sound thumping system that will not take up little or any space in my trunk.. I have the nav sytem and love it, so I cant change that... I need some info on speakers, Amps, Subs.. anything that can get me started on this.. and again.. I would use a box but it has to be a small portion of my trunk,, I use this car with my wife and she shops in it sometimes..lol..I dont want to go to circuit city and pay out the arse.. that is how they do things... so tell me what I can do to get the best sound and hard hitting bass in this car.... thanks..... ps.. i am in houston texas

This is a pretty good, decently hard hitting system for your sub stage. A q-logic 12" ported prefab box, alpine type r 12", alpine mrp-m405, and it really has a small footprint.
Do you have the monsoon system? If so, you can replace the 4x6's, 6x9's and 5 1/4's in the doors and 4" in the center of the dash. You don't have to replace these at all, the monsoon is actually pretty clear and I have added just a sub to many factory monsoon systems and they sound good.
I also dont reccomend changing them out if you are going to keep the stock radio on a non-amplified factory system because of the low wattage can actually damage aftermarket speakers after a while.

cool.... ok, I really dont understand ya much... Money is no issue at all when it comes to my sounds... I will do almost anything.. but yeah, I have the monssoon with the GPS DVD NAV system that I will under no circumstance change out.. so Can i add amps to boost the power... I need an exact detailed list of everything I should get.. this would be the best help in the world, and then i just go buy the stuff and hav it all installed.. I will replace everything else if i have to, or if you just think the box and amps would do the job let me know... thanks so much

just box, amp, and subs will do the job.

things you need, and can get pretty much anywhere, but a local best buy would be a one stop shop.

    1) sub of your choice (I reccomend a alpine type-r 12", really clean bass)
    2) box you can go ported or sealed (I recomend the q-logic single 12" ported/sealed box w/ 1.125 cubic foot of airspace)
    3) line output converter (all this does is take speaker inputs and turn them into rca outputs for getting signal to the amp)
    4) amp wiring kit (you can use 8 awg kits, but 4 awg would have more room for upgrading later.)
    5) positive battery terminal
    6) and of course amp of your choice (I recommend the alpine mrp-m450 400 watt amp)

Yeah memphis is awesome, I have used almost everything in there line up at one point in time. I love them, especially the carbon fiber cone m-class stuff, they sound really clean and get loud on a small amount of power.
