I love clean, built imports, but the problem is there's too many damn imports done wrong in this world to make up for the rest of them. So when people talk about crappy hondas, more often they are in the right. lol But there's few things better than having rediculous hp in a sub 2000lb fwd car. The only downfall to most of these 4 cylinders is the lack of torque. As shelby says, HP sells, Torque wins races. An example: I know of a grand prix that dynoed at 430whp but ran 11.3's in the 1/4 mile while weighing in at 1,500lbs more than the nicely built honda mentioned here that dynoed 466whp running 11.6-12s.
I love builds, here is my friends out mentor, oh
I dont know how much HP he has

LOL @ all the GP drivers **** talking Hondas like they drive Bentleys. Give credit where it is due. I always watch out for the Hondas in my neck of the woods. I worked out an LS1 Camaro last spring, after seeing that race a Civic hatch on slicks rolled up next to me and made me look silly.
An import done right, H23 swap- 89 prelude:

honda's aren't my thing by any means but, props, that car is fast
I just have to put this out there!
someone mentioned a "4 banger" running 45 pounds of boost............ blah blah blah
But now lets play the game of take all those same "power adders" and put the equivalent on a v8.
I am not hating on this honda because to each his own and it does look like he put some work into it but there is still no replacement for displacement
I 100% agree.
He didnt stick on a can and a body kit and painted it. he left it clean and made it look true JDM and shes a quick car. "karen" i believe he named it.
if i had to pick an import it would be a Subaru Imprezza WRX STi.
but if i had the money i wouldnt really mind building a honda, its just theres alot of other cars id rather do instead.
Its a JDM thing. he sold the rims anyways. but its not uncommon to see orange, yellow, red, green, purple, blue, gold , etc for rims.
it makes ya stand out:P.
he might go orange this season. i said NOOO... i wanna see a nice blue on there. like darker blue. or just traditional black, white, gold, maybe even red.
Im not usually a fan of gray.
He toned down the HP, i left out another Dyno that he was only at about 400.
so about 400hp running 11s.
and wow they have madd torque. sit in one and then when ur head slams against the seat tell me otherwise. Even before he turbod his GSR, it was a nice car to cruise in. Think felt like a race car and it only was running a mid 14 second or so 1/4mile.
Ive said for a long time id rock a 92-95 civic coupe with a k swap and 300 na hp @ like 9k rpm lets be honest done right it would be like a crotch rocket on 4 wheels. Done clean with oem body paint, no turbo to mess with no sc to mess with ect ect.![]()
like this guy:P except its an EK not EG
YouTube - Civic hatch k20 vs supra 400 whp!
silly firebird LOL i love it. id buy a civic, build it, just to do that.
holy fvck do want. I <3 eg hatches. How much does that think weigh? under a ton almost?
Well thank you captain obvious. Most obvious statement ever. No **** a larger engine has a higher maximum potential. You have to consider the fact that v8 cars are also much more expensive from the factory. For example, take $35k, and buy a mustang gt, or whatever it costs. I'll take my $35k, assuming were paying sticker price for both cars, and buy a new cobalt ss (my car) costing $25k and use the extra $10k and put it into my car in mods. It will STOMP your stock v8. Point is, when money is no object, more displacement is better without a doubt. But dollar for dollar, a 4 cyl is a better deal, up until the point where you reach the maximum potential of the size of the engine.
