I don't like CVTs (continuously variable transmissions) because of their weaknesses, but the idea is the same as the IVT. Imagine you stomp the gas, RPMs go to the peak of your power band, and it stays that way throughout acceleration. No shifting, no more worrying about high end or low end.![]()
