they already have machines that can turn organic garbage and most plastics into oil..... But I think it will take these "bugs" and the oil from garbage and more to accommodate our country's need for oil

The article suggests that we'd need enough plants to cover the square area of Chicago to supplement all our needs. Not all that out of reach if spread across the country.
