I have read so much about the rear axle in that car that I just want to go out there and smash it with a ****ing hammer to save myself the trouble of being stranded along the side of the road before to long.

People exaggerate. Wife's car has 200+ 6.50 passes on a beefed 7.5". Auburn Pro, Moser Axles, TA Girdle, and Motive gears.

From what I read its pretty much luck of the draw tho too. Some ppl have 500+ hp and hundreds of passes on a stock 10 bolt and have zero issues with them.

Then you have completely stock cars that havent seen the track and might get floored once in a great while and they blow the **** apart.

Who knows where mine will end up. Hopefully like yours lol

Again, I'd say give it ther benefit of the doubt. Good news is, used units are cheap, and you can score a M6 unit (3.42s) pretty easily- You'll be grinning for the low upgrading from 2.73's, which I suspect you have. Have fun with it, they're cool toys.

When it was all said and done I payed $5404 for it. I just seen a guy on LS1tech who paid 7600 for his and it had 110,000 on it. I think I did damn good on that deal
