    Thanks again guys.

The paint used on the blower housing is VHT high temp wrinkle finish. It came out pretty decent, very dissappointed in the dry time though as it was still soft after a full week! It was even sitting under a ceiling fan that I leaving running 24/7 and the furnace blows straight into that area, so to anyone who wants to use this paint I hope you dont plan to handle the parts for a while. I used a different wrinkle paint on some other parts a few years ago and acted about the same way, its just the nature of the paint and thick heavy coats required to get the look.

Nick- I fixed the frame on my cutlass summer 09 so its good now. The front/top of the rear lower control arms section of the frame ripped off the control arm bracket from hard launches. I thought it was only the drivers side but ended up being both sides. Luckily there is a body seem directly above this under the rear seat so it was half easy to get in and do it, just had to cut the floor a bit and fold a section out of the way to get in and clean the metal and weld it back up. The factory welds were not very stout so it was welded up much better than factory and reinforcment plates were welded in so it shouldnt happen again.

Here is a finished pic with the intake tubing that I used. I had a few odds and ends left to finish up like the evap solenoid and line, pcv hose, and extending the iat wires and it is all complete now. I had a chance to drive the car around a little bit a few days ago and its feels pretty strong. It had old gas in the tank and I didnt have my wideband in so I didnt make any heavy throttle runs but did get about 60% in it a few times and was worth a smile or two so definately will be nice to get it back on the road once the weather allows and get the tune dialed in. I would like to try and take the car and dyno it or at least hit the track once it opens in April and I will report back with how it does.

This is pretty fantastic, but it still always gets me that an LS1 fits in these beasts, but a buick 3800 leaves little room...

Yeah thats definately the truth! A foot of room in front of the engine and cant stick your hand anywhere from strut tower to strut tower without getting stuck. Even stock there is little room, plugs and wires are a real treat in these cars

Supercharged 3800 vs Naturally Aspirated 3800... I'm going to go ahead and say yes.

Pretty much what's considered the God of modern day V8's.

LS1's have been stuck in every vehicle conceivable. From Miatas to an Evo 8

Pretty impressive engine at that. My old 98 Formula dyno'd 373rwhp 375 torque and still pulled 28 mpg's on the highway. This was with minor boltons and cam.
    No More GTP for me.
