If you have full coverage, couldn't you file a report with the Police and have your insurance co fix it? Then just get the custom hood you want done and be happier?

I'd be tickled ****less if that happened to me, enough damage to have to have it replaced but not enough to hurt other components of the car

You have an insurance co for a reason, vandalism or hit-and-run, YOUR car was damaged on YOUR property and the police have to file it, and if you want your insurance co HAS to do something about it
