ive found out that basically all of the 'normal' exercises that i used to think were beneficial suck. they are too isolated of exercises. im following this meathead program that if i actually followed it i would end up getting huge. thats not the plan, so i dont do it 5 days, rinse, and repeat like they want you to. i do it like 3 times a week or so. i also am going to make sure i take some protein shake after i lift to help the gains i should be seeing.

either way, when i left yesterday i was having issues holding onto the top of my steering wheel. arms were tired.

Your biggest gains will be had from the basic barbell movements. Squat, bench, power clean, dead lift, military press. There is no need to do isolations like crazy.

If you need more than overhead squats and pullups, you're getting picky.
