Around here they are cutting back on the pre treating and plowing of roads to save money. They used to pre treat when there was a good chance of snow. Now they are waiting until it is actually snowing to do anything.

Not Michigan. They salt so much in the winter that the white lane lines and double yellow lines are gone and replaced by little mounds of salt. Every intersection you can see where the truck stops and leaves a large pile of salt from when he didnt turn off the valve.
Michigan wastes money over salting in the winter, then spends all summer replacing and repairing the roads.
And they wonder why their broke.
It may be cheaper to just send everyone to "winter driving school" and save money on road salt.
ny used to salt the F*ck outta the roads last winter..i think they still do,no wonder NY cars are horrible shape and rot easoly 5 yrs b4 other cars of other states doo..hell my 00 NY car is in soooo much worse shape then my 95 PA car..far as ik PA doesnt salt but idk.
