Was there something wrong with the GTP, because I don't see where you made out in the deal. 4G63s are garbage for reliability. But on the plus side there was a guy on here a while back comparing these cars too Evos and Skylines. I think you got confused by him maybe

Anyone who is calling this a bad deal is crazy! Galant VR-4s are awesome to have just for the rarity factor. It's a pretty badass car... being a former DSM owner myself I always wanted one. The 4G63t aftermarket is one of the best around. Also he now has all wheel drive. Sure the engine has it's issues but take care of it and you'll be fine. The problems would be like any other.

I would have made the trade...

haha you guys are funny. Nothing was wrong with the GTP. It was slow, sorry. L32, N*, headers, rockers, 3.29's etc etc etc. Wasn't at all impressed witht he power for how much i've dumped in. That and automatic blows. Miss driving a manual car. Motor is solid, it's everything else that can eat a dick.

Oh and the whole Evo comment. You're a moron if you think otherwise. The exact same power train as an early Evo. Skyline, well... Yeah I'm not even going to waste my time on that one.

Just leave it be. Need something Reliable. GTP got **** gas mileage, was slow what was done, and was insanely illegal for CA. Got tired of smogging under the table.

Love how everyone thinks saying it's ugly is going to change anything. Congrats, you don't like my choice. Get over it. There's people who think the GTP is hideous yet you all (myself at one time) drove it.

And for those thinking it's junk.. Remember, that 4G63 is making damn near the same power output as a stock L67 is (237hp/224tq vs 240hp/280tq), and only 10 years earlier. Stock for stock, they're both low 15 sec cars. So get over yourselfs.

I'd like to see a GP do this well... YouTube - Galant VR4 Rainbow Falls Lake Ice AutoX

car sounds better than a GP, and even the drag cars can't stick like the awd of this thing (exaggerating but you get the point)...

IIRC your L32 swapped car never ran properly and it was on a 3.8 pulley for a while... even with those mods.
