Powder Coating is awesome. My entire subframe and suspension on my KIT is powder coated. It's coming along slowly but hopefully will be RIGHT when finished. MY point is, here is another avenue if someone is thinking about getting something done. I say do it!!! Just remember, prep work is everything...

A good friend just bought a kit and a bunch of powder. He ended up having to buy a sandblaster to do the prep work the right way, as someone else mentioned prep work is everything. The next problem he ran into is that you need to use a electric oven, no questions. Well the electric oven he got which is a basic home oven was to much for his garages electrical system. He's got a guy coming out today to wire the garage for the oven. I'm not trying to steer you away just letting you know its not as easy as they make it seem on the gearhead tv shows. For him its been a absolute headache from day one. But on a positive note while waiting for the garage rewire he bought a toaster oven to do small parts, as funny as it sounds it works and the parts I've seen are starting to come out nice, he's learning how much the prep work is most important part.
