I just don't see much point in it on public roads. What's the point of risking my life and possibly someone elses? All it takes is some little thing go wrong...a tire blowout, an animal running out on the road, who knows what could happen.

Plus at 16(17 in like 6 days but doesn't matter) getting caught going the speeds listed on here...man that would hurt. That'd be like what? A MASSIVE fine, probably license taken away till 18, and if I didn't i'd probably lose the keys to the car for anything besides work and school. Hell I might not even get them for that.

But on a track i'm all for it. Push that baby to the limit if you want. Just my 2 cents. Oh and the Autobahn, as long as your not being a moron then I wouldn't see a problem with pushing the car there either.
Oh and SMAT? Maybe i'm not so smart! haha.

155-160 mph in my 1970 formula 400 firebird aka the fire chicken, on rt 80 up hill, and it held that speed at 1/4 Throttle, still had more to go but i backed off, speedo went to 220 i believe. just one more fact, that car cost me 18 pts in 1 year and loss of my lic for 4 years, and not one speeding ticket, all careless driving, reckless and improper passing, now that sucks for real, thats when i switched to 4x4 trucks, they don't have enough balls to get u in trouble, this regal is my first "car" in 15 years or so, and the last car before that was a 1977 caddy sedan de ville, with a 426 fast and slow at the same time, sorta lol

I've went 162 two times in my 2005 GTO (sold) The car went a best of 12.9 @110mph with a cat-back.

My GTP stopped pulling and cut out at 125mph on the stock tune. My car is currently getting some upgrades.
    2002 GTP coup 14.6 @ 94mph stock baseline 5-7psi.
    Headers w/o cat, plugs, fwi, 180* t-stat, 3.4, mail-in tune. 13.9 @ 99.75mph 2.2 60'..seeing only 7psi and a fresh set of weatherman snow tires

I know the LSX guys like to shorten thier mod list buy saying things like "cam only", which is stupid, but moving on. On this 12.9 run, was it actually just with a cat back? Street tires? Stock suspension? If so, you've got one HELL of a driver mod. I used to be an LS1 guy, so this isn't meant to be taken as an insult. I've just seen ls1/ls2 goats at the track, and it seems to take more then a catback to get them into the twelves.
