I looked for a Kastan for a long time. I didn't want a MOSH like several others had, I wanted the original that Linn built ya know. Something with is name on it, plus the polished aluminum was *****ING! I traded my GT Speed Series BOX frame for my Kastan. Its a series three Kastan BTW.
I rode for TREK for one year, I think my last year, back in 2001, and after I was done with them, I put my Kastan back together. I got to keep my T.I. Trek frame, its hanging in the garage, even got it signed by Wade too. Matter of fact, now that I think about it, its hanging next to my FIRST GT Speed Series Box frame...the one I "should" of sent in for the recall. They mailed me a free replacement and said they would send a call tag for the old one, and never did. Now I have some cool wall art. LOL
I used to ride street, and ramps at the skate park, but I was getting hurt too much, so had to man up, or grow up, and sell my bike before I really messed myself up. I used to ride a DK S.O.B. I built. I remember getting the thumbs up from Colin when I showed him pictures after it was done. He later sent me a letter thanking me for the support, and gave me a billet DK iron cross front sprocket to run. I was bummed to hear he passed away a few years later. He was a cool guy.
I still have a bike I can tear the streets up, and ride single track and bomb down some hills out in the Flint Hills of Kansas. Its my Azonic Evolution.

Disk brakes front and rear, 5" of fork travel, and the wheels are 24", but so big, they stand as tall as a regular 26" mountain bike.

Its my beater.
