exactly. watch fox news for 24 hours then switch over to cnn for 24. they will usually report the exact same happenings, but watch how it's delivered. withheld and misconstrued information is the basis for gaining support these days. americans know the truth, yet prefer lies. lies are simple and much easier for the naive american to believe. they can't fathom the god almighty united states facing any type of scrutiny.

as for the war: the united states' main vision is to spread democracy at whatever costs needed. now i understand using the big stick when multiple nations are fighting, but come on, first we invade afghanistan in fear that they are holding WMDs. in reality it was a much-needed retaliation for the people of the US to 9/11. no one action can be done in this country without pointing the blame. whether right or wrong, that's how their system works. party store gets robbed in the detroit area... plenty of blacks have robbed stores previously, so it's got to be a black man right? a few planes get hijacked and attempts are made to run them into important national buildings... al qaeda love using travelling devices to inflict damage to populations, so it's got to be the afghanis or iraqis right?

basically what i'm saying is there always has to be a scapegoat for americans to be able to sleep at night. as messed up as it is, that's what this place has become. anyone ever talked to someone from europe and how they feel about american policy? they think it's a joke. plain and simple.

Gaiz, if you overthrow your gov you'll just be run by your militia which is a military dictatorship.

Kinda worse than half democracy lmao.

This isnt even a half democracy anymore its straight ran by banks but Im not saying to revolt or start a revolution

Im just saying that at some point people will get tired of it and things will get way worse
Another possible end result is states dissolving themselves from the union

Honestly History repeats it self so something will happen just dont know when Maybe not for 100 years maybe with the next administration who knows

We'll setup a new gov. A very limited one as designed by the founding fathers. States rights again.
Half democracy leads to no democrazy. We started with a republic and have half a democrazy - it won't stop here.

back before currency was federally regulated, most states had their own dollar and the value was different for each. i could only imagine what would happen if states neared sovereignty. maybe that's what we need? it'd be like the european union, but american. i'd call it the american union. better yet, the united states of america. wait....

It's a freudian slip. And yes, this is becoming a democrazy.

The name United States of America is now used to make it look like the states are united into one and that the states don't really exist as separate entities. I still like the name! As Ben Fraklin said, "A republic if you can keep it." The Founding Fathers knew democracies don't last. Democracies only last until the people find they can vote themselves everything they want. Remember, until the 17th amendment the states, not the people, used to elect the Senators? That was one way the states kept their power. It came about around the same time as the FED, which by the way is not really part of the Federal Government. 1912/13 was a real turning point for the country. And don't forget Woodrow Wilson.

We are so far from the constitution its not even funny

Take it back to basics knock the gov power down to a 5 and maybe we'd be ok But as I see it
It wont happen and there is an ugly uprising coming and It wont be pretty

If the people don't get out and vote to do what we are talking about it is headed to ugly. One thing to remember:
It only took 3% of the population to free us from England.

Today is the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independance. It was approved on July 4th but the signing took place on this day in history.

I don't disagree. There's the soap box, people are finally speaking out.
There's the ballot box, we'll see in November if the people start turning things around. The there's the ammo box, I hope it's not needed, but it's available.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. by Thomas Jefferson.
