I am in the process of getting a 2002 Grandprix GTP next week, im really excited. My dad has a 1987 Monte Carlo SS aerocoupe. I have driven both cars they both are pretty quick. The monte is 305 high out put 4 barrel rwd. Say we had a little race who would win? Im real happy with the power of the gtp for what i have driven it so far. Its a black coupe.

from a roll of 30 or low to about 100 if possible

Now throw some headers, new cam, intake and carb on the 305 and you'll get smoked.

I know the cars aren't "fast" but they aren't slow they have some pep

The monte is easily the better platform, but stock for stock the GTP is easily faster.

305's have no bore so they can't have agressive heads since the valves are too small. 300 HP is about as far as its worth taking a 305.
