Thread: How close would this be?

I am in the process of getting a 2002 Grandprix GTP next week, im really excited. My dad has a 1987 Monte Carlo SS aerocoupe. I have driven both cars they both are pretty quick. The monte is 305 high out put 4 barrel rwd. Say we had a little race who would win? Im real happy with the power of the gtp for what i have driven it so far. Its a black coupe.

well a monte ss is only 185hp gtp is 240hp ish

Now throw some headers, new cam, intake and carb on the 305 and you'll get smoked.

from a roll of 30 or low to about 100 if possible

Hey no need to beat up on the guy, what you might consider fast is very different from another persons perception of fast.

quick is 13 flat in the quarter.

Neither of which run that.

I know the cars aren't "fast" but they aren't slow they have some pep

The monte is easily the better platform, but stock for stock the GTP is easily faster.
