Quickly looked this up, An auction on ebay and if you view the other pictures you will see from the other side where the airbag comes out. It just rips through the weak spot on top of the dash, Alot of dashes are like this now days.

Even some dashes with airbag covers actually tear the dash as well, In my old 03 sunfire somene cut me off and the whole dash would have had to be replaced had they decided to fix it.
