i know its rich fuel because it smells soo horrible of fuel everywhere. its not leaking though. it will start then you have to give it some gas, when driving (when it stays on) it drives fine untill you press down on the gas and it boggs down and shuts off. i took the fuel pump fuse out and then after a couple cranks it ran fine since it wasnt getting too much fuel. it also burns whiteish smoke that has a strong fuel smell. ALOT of white smoke. there is also a cooling system problem. are they connected? any help is appreciated

    White smoke = coolant
    Black smoke = fuel

I wouldnt recommend smelling too much of that smoke...

I dont know if the rich condition and the cooling being burnt are connected, but id get the cooling fixed first..
    Im so USDM

I had a similar issue with my cousins car, a GP SE 2000 I think. Same symptoms, missing, stalling, raw fuel smell, white smoke. We pulled it into the garage and I noticed raw gas running out of the exhaust pipe. We very quickly bled the pressure off the fuel system and the leak slowly stopped. There were so many DTCs that we didn't even know where to start. The fear of burning the house down caused us to let it sit and dry out for two days, with the garage door open of course. I thought it had a blown head gasket (white smoke)...Pulled the radiator cap and system was full to the top with no contamination and no bubbles while running. As soon as we smelled the fuel we shut it down.

I suspected a dead injector, stuck open. We pulled the fuel rail with the injectors still attached. The following I would not recomend but here goes. We cycled the key on and off to build up some pressure in the fuel system and sure enough #2 injector was spewing gas all over. Lucky we didn't have an accidental fire. But anyway, after replacing the injector and resetting the computer the car ran great.
