    a couple questions......

does anyone know where i can buy these instead of the dealer? what i'm reffering 2 is the "channels" on the roof. i don't know if that is the correct term, so here is a pic....

^basically the extra molding on the roof!

now does anyone know if i will have 2 modify the roof or not? my guess is that they 3M tape on?

    any advice/info is appreciated. thanks!

Ah the Infamous Roof Rails. so far the only place you can get them is a junkyard or buy them off another member.

Currently, nobody has them in stock....

But GM is working on a batch, and I'm on top of it when they finally release them.

Dealers and direct warehouses don't sell complete new sets currently. Some new left side rails can be found. No they are not interchangeable or reversible. $100+ per side up to the top I've seen in the past from a dealer in FL at $199 per side.

what i'm reffering 2 is the "channels" on the roof. i don't know if that is the correct term, so here is a pic....
Most people call them roof rails. They are listed as roof moulding. Some call them roof fences, as they are NASCAR inspired.

now does anyone know if i will have 2 modify the roof or not? my guess is that they 3M tape on?
They are attached with a sealer. You can use sealers, 3M tape, etc. to attach them. It all depends on how permanent you want them attached. You must remove the stock moulding first and it is not reusable.

Please, no. They are nowhere near each other in any dimension. You would be better off making your own from scratch.

Like Reptile said GM has been coming out with more for a LONG time. Each update, no new roof rails. They will probably be $200+ a set through direct, etc. when/if they do release them again.

Keep your eye on the classifieds, Ebay, etc. They pop up now and then.
