hey guys i just bought an iphone from my friend. hes had it for a minute but just never used it. but he doesn't remember what his unlock code is for the unlock screen. i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to break the code or reset it or just plain take off the lock screen. im fresh out of ideas.

Plug it in, go to iTunes, then restore it or upgrade it.

Unless he set a lock for it most phones default lock is something like 0000, 1111, or 1234. Something simple like that. Took me forever to figure out my phones one day then I tried that just for the hell of it and it worked.

He has to plug it in to his computer that he synced it to, once he does this he can reset the iPhone.

Unlocked iphone with Tmobile...Just go to itunes & restore it. You may or may not have to jailbreak it again. I had to restore mine once & didn't need to re-jailbreak it.

HA! let me tell you, this is a fun one.. basically, at least on the 2G... you have to do a crazy sequence of s**** like holding the power for 10 seconds, then holding home without releasing power for 3 then release home for 5...and yes, you have to be exact iwth those times.. then the iphone is basically confused as hell = what you want. after that, if your still using it on ATT no need to jailbreak, IMO the apps arent worth it. After you get the iphone confused you can plug it into any computer with a newer version of itunes and it will make you upload new software, or if not you can use a program like redsn0w or b1ack ra1n to put the os on it.. i am not sure on the times to confuse the iphone, i jailbroke mine many moons ago, but if you want more details pm me and i am pretty sure i have the stuff laying around here somewhere..
    i knew this guy wasn't b/sing.
