A lot of people use seafoam without the adverse side affect of Spartangl engine.

He probably used it when he was putting oil IN. And ran it thinking he didn't have to get rid of it until his NEXT oil change.

I've seafoamed all my cars, and some friends cars too, but I've never added any to the oil. Only in the gas and Vacuum, havent had a problem yet, only good things.

Me thinks, Spartangl decided he just wanted a project, and drained all the oil out and put in seafoam XD

Insurance says no sign of water damage in the engine.

and it was acting up before the water also if you read the original post you would know that.

If you want to go mudding, buy a truck.

Mudding in a GP isn't fun. I was forced to do it when the floods came down back in September and turned the parking area into a mud pit. the mud came up about an inch on the body.

Wow, glad to see the story finally gets wrapped up.

... and to answer one of the orignal questions.... he reported it to the insurance company because he needed a tow. ...his inusrance company has roadside service to take broken down vehicles to service centers. The dealership service manager worked with the insurance company to check out the loss.

..I have USAA too. been with em forever.

well the problems i had before the water could only be connected with the seafoam

Seafoam says Oil change within 100 miles

I drove maybe 20, Oil got thinned out. bearings got overheated and then Bam Block cracked engine FUBAR.

    Welcome to Seafoam.
