Me: Reading through your ridiculously long OP, and saw the $9k value. I thought stocks had gone up and the stars were in alignment so I put my car on Craigslist today. It sold for 8500.
What a deal.
Thanks for your insight.
lol i made a post in the parts for sale section
Gauging interest on who wants what.
and i doubt you sold yours for that price
ill know whats going on by friday or monday
You shouldn't have reported it to the insurance company, they don't want to lose money so of course their going to total out your car. If it was mine, I would take the loss, buy a decent used engine and drop it in. Sh!t, my old Monte Carlo was on it's 3rd engine when I sold it.
If i ever blew my motor, the last thing i would think is to report it to the insurance company...hell a low mileage L26/36 goes for less than $600. Doing the swap isn't all that bad either...
just get another GTP and swap stuff over to it
next time don't report it and drop a built motor in that thing and goto town
gmpartsdirect.com: Alternate GM Catalog
GM Parts Direct shows 3.8 SC engine for $3136. Would this work?
