Good buy![]()

Every single gasket on the top of the motor was replaced, three years ago. They had the paper work to prove it too. They said the LIM went and as long as had it apart they just went ahead and did everything.
It was solid buy for $4000 and cars up here more expensive. Comp G's are selling for like 8-9k right now.
And to go with whoever said "they didnt want but still put 110k on it", If you avg. the milage over the years its only 11k a year, so thats nuthing. I have the title here that says in 2006 it only had 83k on it and now 110k, so 27k in 4 years is not bad at all.
I still have a few things to do yet.
1. coolant change
2. S/C oil change
3. Oil change
4. wash it and the engine bay.
lucky me that the tranny fluid was just done and its still blood red.![]()
Nice car, but I don't know why anyone would think cars are more expensive in the midwest. I live in Iowa and got my car in KC. It is a 99 gtp coupe with 128000 miles when I bought it. It just needs a new door for $250 at a junk yard and it's good to go. I stole it for 1,700, and it is in great condition with new tires and brakes. Just saying the deals are out there. Still a nice car though. I have the same color.
I guess now that I think about it, they are not really that much more expensive than most places, but I guess it just what you find and where you find it. And all prices are going to be different.
I like the deal I got and love the car. I just dont like the city gas mileage of 18-19, but only working 3 miles away from home I can't really complain.
Try getting a much lighter car then, for a fuel injected V6 pushing 3400 lbs + you around thats not all that bad.
I am going to put a open cone filter on my TB and hope for 20 mpgs. As long as keep my foot out of it. And ya these cars are heavy, but i like them to much to get a different car.
get some headers, those'll help as well.
And a custom tune for sure.
