If you click on the User CP (control panel) the page you are taken to will have an area that shows your reputation received. It will show you the thread it was given in, who gave it the comment and so on.
Again, I encourage all of you to use it. Its a great tool. There is a large portion of this community that put in time and help here and I believe in them being recognized for that.
Also, I was very serious about giving reputation points for things that take place outside the forum. The example I used was if someone comes over to your house and helps you or gives great effort to help you out with an issue, then come back here and tell us about it. When that person responds in that thread, give them reputation points.
In fact, I may look into creating a section here just for that. A place where we can come and toot the horn of those that have went out of their way to sustain this community. I think seeing that and seeing how it makes people feel and the way people rally around such things would encourage others to do so, and THAT is what I envision here.
Ive said it before, I'll say it again. I want this community to be so happening, so exciting, so involved that people outside of the community cannot stand NOT being a part of it and go find a Grand Prix, a Regal, a Monte Carlo, etc just so they too can be a part of it and benefit from it.
But that wont happen without all of you. If you look to me and the other Admins and Mods to do this alone, it will not happen. It takes all of us, no matter how minor the contribution, it takes all of what we are able to give to make such a vision happen. One of the ways that starts is to recognize those that are helping out, going through the trouble to research to come up with good answers or posting from their vault of knowledge and sharing it. That doesnt mean we become lazy and just let a select few contribute, it means if the person takes the time to help out then you honor that and take the time to take notes, write something down and remember it, build upon it, grow it then return it better than you got it.
