Well We pulled the engine out of a 1999 powerstroke deiesel. After 6hrs of work we got the engine out and on the ground. Then proceeded to pull the crank out of a donor engine. After a while it got dark and had to stop since the donor engine was just sitting on a trailer. Today I get off work and we pull the crank the rest of the way out of the donor engine. Then we go and pull off the flex plate from the engine that came out of the truck.....guess what! The mother ****er came off in 3 pieces. So much for the guy that just rebuilt the trans saying it was not anything tranny related and it was internal engine. He even had a borascope up in-between the torque converter and flexplate. Atleast it is not internal engine problems, we get to spend some cash on power parts. New turbo housing ect. I guess this was kinda a rant, but I am too lazy to move it. In the end if you need to pull a powerstroke out of a ford get a hold of me and my friend. 6hrs and a bottle of whiskey later we will have her out.
