Well its been another fine active evening in Oklahoma. Lots of tornado warnings in southern OK, and some confirmed touchdowns. I wish I could get out an chase, but I just dont have the Rodeo set up yet to get out there. I will soon hopefully.

I the meantime, I thought I would post up some radar images. I have my radar software set up to upload images to my website, so they will change every few minutes. So the information is fairly accurate.

    1. Base Reflectivity 248, This is a long range scan at 0.50* radar tilt

    2. Base Velocity, 0.50* tilt. This measures winds blowing to the radar and away from the radar and is a good indicator of tornado activity. If the one side is green and you see a spot of red, thats an indication of some rotation. Same with the red, if you see a spot of green in there, likely some rotation which could lead to a tornado.

    3. Storm Rain. This is a radar estimate of the amount of rain that has fallen.

The purple boxes that are shaded in, those are watch boxes, whether it be tornado or thunderstorm. On the software I can click on them and find out which, so later on or next storm I may set it up and change the colors so that its easy for everyone to identify.

All the plus signs and lightning bolts are lightning strikes that have occurred. Again I can click on them and find out how frequently.

The red and yellow circular arrows are different intensities of rotation.

The pink boxes, unshaded on the top layer are tornado warning areas

The red boxes, unshaded on the top layer are thunderstorm warning areas.

Hope you all enjoy. I'll leave the upload going through the night. Its set to update every 4 - 5 minutes.

Lmao, should of been down here the other day.

I was driving down the road in the Discovery when the Texas HP began flying by me at 100mph+ and shut down the highway a few miles later becuase a tornado was nearly about to touch down on top of it and come right on down the road.

Street Wolf, that is a fantastic picture. That is a classic super cell, I sure would have love to have been there.

Zainoman, I am planning on being there. Albeit in the Isuzu Rodeo, but Im going to try and make it.

Scotty I was watching that on the weather channel and I told my Grandma that I bet you were watching these storms and started a thread about it.

I feel bad for leaving my Grandma, she got worse when she got home from the hospital and by that Saturday I had to take her to the ER and they admitted her back to the hospital and the discharge nurse came in Sunday morning and told her that she wasnt able to go home to take care of herself and that she had to go to the nursing home. My Dad and Aunt were planning on telling her that weekend that they were going to put in one the following week when I went home, I'm glad they didnt have to tell her as I know they are too. Medicare will pay 100 days that she is there and maybe she might be a little stronger to come home but I really doubt that she will, she is really confused and not making any sense at all. One night she was talking about someone losing all their money and said that if I wanted to know more about that all I have to do is ask her Dr. Then she told me that she saw a boy on a scooter and when she feels better she would like to try it too. This last one was really weird, she said that the lady next to her was getting a new knee and the Dr. came in to talk to her about having it put in and he gave her a key, after she said that she fell asleep.

I went out to start her car when I got there cuz we were going to use her car since she has such a hard time getting in and out of mine, we went out to start her car (my parents and me) to take her out to eat and it wouldnt start the battery wasnt dead it just wouldnt start, Dave said he wanted me to try something (a couple of days later) and when I went out there it was buzzing really loud and then later when I went back out there the battery was dead. She had her mechanic come and pick it up (the guy knew my grandpa and he has been taking care of her car since my Grandpa died) he called later and I asked him what was wrong with the car and he told me everything checked out fine and said that these cars has a memory and when they havent been started in a couple of weeks that it drains the battery, I was like what the heck are you talking about I was just so shocked that I couldnt say anything to him that I knew he was lying since Dave works on these cars, her car is a 93 Bonneville, just like my Dad said if that was true then anyone that drives these cars and went to the airport and was gone for 2 weeks would be upset that their cars wouldnt start when they got back, and GM would have tons of complaints about these cars not starting after 2 weeks.
