just read an article on yahoo about another prius freakin out on the freeway in cali. it took a cop, a hill, the brakes, and parking brake to stop...lol didnt know the little beast had it in him...but seriously i feel kinda bad for toyota. they really are a good company. i suppose the only only way to save them is bring the supra back... just dont put in the throttle by wire. that would suck...lol

give me my drive by cable back and ill be happy. i absolutely hate the DBW on my subbie. yeah, i can tune it so it acts differently, but it will never feel the same as the old school cable.

There was no exhaust mani gasket recall... Just a VC gasket and plug retainer recall.

Anyone who cares about their car should notice leaking fluids or a broken fuel quick disconnect... But then again, most don't know how to check their tire pressure let alone change their oil.

One of the guys at work with a new toyota has had this exact thing happen to him and the dealership said "Don't worry about it." Also finds the same thing as you, DBW lags.

What i don't realize is that Toyota send out a letter, my parents have a Highlander, to press and hold the start button for 15 seconds and the car will shut off. I don't understand how hard it mus be to do that when your car keeps accellerating. Keep in mind we are talking about a prius, not a supra, they aren't that fast.

That's common sense stuff, like shutting off the motor. Remember, they're driving Toyotas.

Well theres two sensors for the pedal position and they both can't fail on ALL their cars unless they were all faulty.

Naturally some are blaming the computer, and if that freezes, doubts on having your electronic shifter working.

I just hadn't seen anyone say they tried that. Everyone says they slammed on the brakes, i would have just shifted into neutral and coasted to a stop. Who cares if the motors revs itself to heaven, as long as you stop, you're good.

Notice how all toyota owners are the same? Typical white collar d bags who think toyotas will last forever and they get in accidents with them all the time... GM for life

Yea honestly, you think Toyota would have told people they could just shift into neutral.. They probably don't wanna pay for damages to the engine or something.. I don't know, at least that's what I would do, brakes aren't gonna stop the wheel 100% when something is keeping it moving..

Lol I could just imagine a 1000 hp Supra that's stuck accelerating.
