My question is this... What is the theme all about on the Donk cars? I just never knew why they did that... there has to be a meaning to it all...
I think that the suspension would be affected more then the transmission, sure they make lift kits for these things. But I imagine that the rest of the suspension also has to be beefed up as well.
My thoughts are that if someone wants to do this to there car, just like guys/gals do to there trucks... not much difference.. well I dont think youll be seeing a Donk mudding.
its alota attention theme cars especially the detail into the paint, and lifts and rims, nuthin really has to be beefed up other then the motor and trans has to get dropped cuz of lift so it dont vibrate and shake and beleve it or not it rides and handels better than stock especially with the wide tires, ive taken mine off roading b4 not to bad just cause it fwd i didnt get stuck
well u asked what we thought....looks f'in stupid. we have the "oreo's" and "ritz" cracker cars here. saw a "yoo-hoo" car sometime last year. forrest gump said it best, "stupid is as stupid does". maybe its in a rap video.
Nice I love it what's need to lift a car for rims
ii know wheen i worked at my buddies j.y. alot of dudes were buying coils springs from jeep cherokee's 4wd. i'm sure there's a list of "ingredients" to lift different style cars. not for me---but to each his own.
I now about lifting old school cars I live in flint and lift and paint car like in the pis all the time for extra cash a little hobby of mine but howto lift a front wheel drive iv put different springs on the coil with more spring rate to liftthe car but what else can you do. Can you modify the sturts
Wow, I really have no words but lets start:
1) Theoretically, and backed by the science of physics, it will not handle better than stock. It may feel that way because of beefed up springs, but at the limit, the raised center of gravity will push the car to sway, making it less stable and more prone to roll. It's basic physics.
2) What were you smoking when you took that off road? Driving on grass is not off road, sorry. If you don't use low range you are not off road. I have a land rover for off road. Grand Prixes belong on the road.
and you dont change the spring you moddify the struts and it stiffin the springs, and the car dosent sway at all how could it 1.5-2inches is kno difference then stock its not a dramatic change at all, hows it gona sway with tighter springs and wider wheels, thats just a plain stupid sanareio, until u rode in a lifted car keep your lil conclusions to your self ,
hell yea bio ! who cares about a car i need to start taken pix of the shyt i do you guys would sh*t a brick lol the only thing i wont do is drive um in tha shyt snow or salty rhodes![]()
any car i own will see all weather conditions and whatever else i put it through. i have no intentions on ever keeping one car forever, so who cares if it falls apart after a while?
Whasup bro! finally someone on here that is for the big wheels. People like what they like and other people hate no problem with me. I feel you on the 26's and the GTP. I have a 96 grand prix (four door) that im gonna have lifted ten inches soon. The thing is though I wonder how much wheel well would show? He says I can put 26's on it but I didnt ask a whole lot (will call back this week). Anyway, I hope I can find some 24"wire wheels cheap(for starters). But what do you think though how much wheel well would show you think? do you think i'll have to trim the wheel wells? you know have em rolled? get back to me later dood!
if a shop is doing it they're not going to listen to advice from people on the internet.
it's true.
however, more power to you for doing what you do. that's the fun part about hobbies: you get to do what you want. you can probably fit 22s in the wheel wells without raising it at all, in fact you could probably still lower it. anything bigger and youre going to have to start looking for a raise, which it looks like you are. ill never be a fan, but do as you do. good luck.
