I wish I was in that part of the world. But if they look anything like the G8 light I will be in for one pair when they are made. Thanks for supporting the 04+ community, as we have be waiting years for something new on the headlight front.

I'm so not doing a retro on 04 headlights right now...and moving the turn signal...and retro fitting projector fogs...

    Nope totally not doing that.

I'm also not having my projector glow red when I unlock the car and Audi LED setup or anything like that. totally not doing that.

For those of you that don't know, SPYDERAUTO screwed over a bunch of clubgp guys. The projectors they designed had issues from them bouncing, to them not properly being able to be aimed. Not to mention they didn't fit well and many would agree they were complete garbage. When people started complaining about their products, he left the forum and left everyone hanging. Not to mention he promised low pre-order pricing, which turned out all those that pre-ordered spent about $100 more than what they actually sold for on ebay and other sites.

One of our grand prix vendors notified me of this post, so I thought its definitely important for me to notify you guys so you don't get screwed over.

Lets not jump on the bandwagon and assume that all their products are garbage. They made the 97-03 projectors nearly a decade ago. Yes, they weren't that great, but I'm sure they've gained experience and better products to make these headlights as good as OEM quality. SpyderAuto: if the quality and price is good...you have our support and there are at least 20 people ready to buy!!!

Yeah, there's alot of info on this site about that. All of you guys, no need to jump the gun on conclusions! There aren't even pictures out yet. Why don't we just wait to hear how a test fit goes and I'm sure somebody will end up buying these. We could get a review similar to DashZ's review on here now

I did get a couple responses from him. He was looking for someone in the area that (for small compensation) could drive to their facility, let them mount the headlight to test fit, and then take it back out. Sounds to me like they really only have a prototype. No final deal yet. I asked him to send me pictures of the test fit and he said that he would. Still no word on that though.

Grand Prix projectors have been out for less than 2 years. All I'm advising is that you take into consideration prior designs and factor that before you jump the gun and purchase.

If they make a great design and all looks good, then more power to you.

I've seen the 97-03 projectors out for quite sometime. First time I've seen them was in 06-07...dont remember if it was by Spyder Auto, but I'm pretty sure it was, and I remember hearing one of the guys say that he got them a few years ago...so idk EXACTLY how long they've been out, but it has definitely been a few years. I'm going to stay optimistic and wait for pictures and reviews. Dont insult a company that has taken their time to create something for the 04+ guys that barely have any aftermarket parts. If you are one of the 97-03 members that weren't satisfied with them...then DONT DO BUSINESS...but dont put down the ONLY company that is considering giving us a product. If its good...people will buy it...so why dont we wait and see what they come out with instead of assuming that it will be garbage...geez people...grow up.

The 97-03 guys are giving you a heads up about the ****ty customer service WE received with Spyder. Not only that but they took a lot of us for about $350 a PIECE when they first came out and they set up a group buy. You're right, you might get much better service, but from personal experience, they will DISAPPEAR after the product is out and will never help.

On my experience all these projector headlights that end up on ebay. Only use H3 Projectors from a foglight. In the end you end up having to crack them open anyways and retro fit them.

I've never purchased a set because I've seen them and projectors were nothing to be proud of. I never blasted the company personally, I just posted factual information based on my impression and MANY OTHERS. You apparently have an agenda, so sit back and look at what I wrote objectively.
