Why not just get a GTP and drive it for a bit before going nuts.

Do extensive research, you can learn a lot.

GTP isn't what its all cracked upto be. The 3800 might be strong in the NA form, but the supercharged motor is NOT bulletproof even in stock form. Read and search these forums and you will see. I wish I would have researched this platform more before purchasing an 04 GTP for my ex wife.

its supposed to be a stronger motor. unfornately people with supercharged motors dont always treat them well and some forget your supposed to run premium fuel.

its right on the gas door, premium fuel only. when i first got the car i wasnt sure if i had to put premium or not, i was pretty sure i needed to and was going to anyway, then i opened the fuel door, yup.

hmm i wasnt aware there was any difference outside the heads portion of the block... the supercharged version is just as tough as the NA version since they are the same motor... its just people, probably like this persons wife, doesn't realize that with forced induction motors that you need to run the premium octane gas and actually follow up on the maintenance of the vehicle. so as long as you do what your supposed to do with ANY car, these motors are tough as all hell
