You know what you wonderful people are correct in what you are saying. If the price drops down to $1,500.00 I will get it, otherwise, I am going to pass on that car. The thing is the milage. I have missed one for $1,600.00 that was a GTP with hail damage and salvage title, that would have been sweet for me.

I will keep saving and see what the LORD has for me. Worse case I should have about $1,300.00 saved up by Feb 1rst and look at that time. There is a 1997 GP GT for $1,000.00 the guys says it just has body damage and the pn with body damage all over for $1,500.00.

I wish I knew what to look for in buying a used car, all I do is see if it rides smooth, and no leaks?

Well thanks for helping me and coming up with this decision, thank you, you guys and gals are wonderfull.

look underneath for rust, take it to a good local shop and have them check out the front end and undercarrige. It may cost you 20 or so to get them to rack it and look it over for ya, but its worth it when you know how deep your getting into. that 20 or so bucks could save you buying a total piece. When the right one comes along you'll know it!
F clean cars, I Ride Dirty!.....to hide the wicked body damage...
97 GP GTP- Mystic Teal, 218k, fixing the damage
91 Cherokee- 4 in. Lift, 31 Kumho M/T, tons of fun
03 Chevy S10- full bag setup on order, will drag frame in under a month

i personally am always wary about salvage titles, but really make sure you don't rush into anything. I went a month without a car so i could find the right one

Why by a car that looks like complete ****? Find one that looks decent. You can find a good looking car with about 130-40k on it for under $5k. easy.

I am wanting to cry right now, because all of your guys are so damn sweet. You all are right, even though I may not want to listen to you guys, I have, I will not by that car, it had 287,000 miles on it and the check engine light on. I will wait, even if I have to buy another car like WickedIntent79 said. I love the fact you guys are so straightforeward and give real advice about cars. I hope that I get a car before Jan ends. THANK YOU ALL for your advice.
